Up for sale is an antique 1901 edition of The Antiquary by Sir Walter Scott, published by Adam & Charles Black, London. This beautifully bound volume is part of the celebrated Waverley Novels and features a decorative title page and an illustrated frontispiece by Paul Hardy titled The Picnic at St. Ruth’s.

The book is bound in embossed burgundy leather with gilt spine detail and patterned endpapers. A fine example of early 20th-century British bookbinding and literary publishing.
